The Winery Trail

Begin the Winery Trail at Seymour and by following the Route 64 markers your journey will take you to the Fine Wineries of the Goulburn Valley, the heart of the Victorian Wine Industry. Since 1869, wines from the region have been winning awards at all the world's principal exhibitions. Vines were first planted in the area in 1860 at Tahbilk Winery, which today is Victoria's oldest winery & vineyard - still family owned.

The region is now a major premium & sparkling wine producing area in Australia with over 1000 acres of classical varieties planted and also one of the world's rarest grape varieties, Marsanne. Each winery offers a unique cellar door experience with diverse character and warm hospitality.

Make your Winery Trail experience a one, two or three day adventure travelling on scenic country roads and passing magnificent waterways and historic sites.
