The Park, comprising of 140 ha., commemorates the Mounted Riffle Regiments and the legendary Light Horse and is a heritage area. Training on these hills a century ago, they laid the foundations of the present Australian Army. The walking trails are for both people and horses. Anzac Hill provides panoramic views and the picnic area is set on the edge of the creek under huge old gum trees.

The reserve is used predominately for sporting purposes. There are two formal ovals, club buildings, netball courts, athletics facilities and a tennis complex. The Seymour Leisure Centre resides within the Park.
The park is located in Progress Street on the banks of the Goulburn River. The beautiful setting has a car park, picnic tables, BBQs, toilets and a boat ramp. It is an ideal spot for picnics, fishing, boating and rafting.
Set on the Goulburn River, it is famous for its waterbirds, ibis rookery and musk ducks. It has a camping area with toilets and is popular for fishing.
Located in Tallarook Street, Kings Park is home to the Seymour Agricultural Show, Seymour Alternative Farming Expo, The Historical Society, Girl Guides and the Seymour Memorial Pool. It also has a number of sporting club uses - netball, cricket and football.
The park is in the vicinity of the old punt crossing place over the Goulburn River prior to the construction of the first bridge. It has a boat ramp, fishing platform, picnic tables, BBQs and toilets set next to the river amongst huge old gums.
Has a glorious gorge and rock pools, koalas, trout, cod, long nosed bandicoots, falcons, eagles and massed wattles in spring. It has a camping area with toilets and you can fish, swim and go rafting.
The quite formal park incorporates the historical Old Court House and Log Lockup. It has a rotunda, BBQ, childrens' playground, seating and toilets with wheelchair access.
The formal garden includes historic gravestones.
Access to this area is by special permission only. It has outstanding nature conservation areas as well as Bush stone curlews and powerful owls.
Located in Emily Street it forms an avenue to the Goulburn River. It has picnic tables set amongst the beautiful old gum trees.
The park consists of 62 ha. of regenerating bush. The land was once part of the Kitchener Military Camp which became permanent in 1915, played an important part in both wars, and only closed operations in the 1960's. The land was returned to the Shire by the Federal Government under a scheme to return Commonwealth land to local authorities in 1978. There are two marked walking tracks, the short walk (25 minutes) and the long walk(45 minutes). Both start at the carpark and branch at the top of the hill. The park contains Red Capped Robins, Rainbow Bee-eaters, Dollar Birds, Kangaroos, gums, wattle, purple bearded orchids and wildflowers in spring.

The forest covers an area of 5100 ha. and is a popular recreation area for camping, hang gliding, rock climbing, car and motorcycle touring, horseriding and bushwalking. The main features of the forest are
Mt Hickey - at an elevation of 805m, it is the highest point and is also known as Mt. Tallarook. It is the site of the fire lookout tower which is manned almost every day in summer. In fine weather there are extensive views and the summit can be accessed by 2wd along Mt. Hickey Road.
Falls Creek Reservior - built in 1895, was orginally the water supply for Seymour and Trawool and still retains water all year round. Although there are no facilities it is still a popular picnic and camping site. It is located at the most northern part for the forest on Falls Creek Road.
Freemans Camp Picnic Area - used to be a forestry camp and today is a camping and picnic area with BBQs, tables and toilets.
Meadows Hill Lookout - is located 3km north of the intersection with West Falls Road along Meadows Hill Road. It has a hang glider launch site. Information about Rock Climbs can be found at
